Landing in Prague, it is absolutely the beginning of a wonderful experience made of art, culture, history and..why not food!
I am not talking only of Czech food, which is anyway something that any tourist should at least try, because we know Czech food can be pretty heavy and not all of us like meat, sauces and elaborated food.
In this list you will find the perfect place where to eat Svickova na smetane, or the Smazeny syr but also some international ones and why not some exotic ones, as well.
So today we are dedicating the post to the TOP 5 restaurants in Prague, the best according to us.
I have made a survey among our staff in the Headquarter of the Garzotto Hotels & Resorts and we came up with this list that we hope you would appreciate and maybe get back to us with your personal experience and feedback.
Here we go then and...dobrou chut!
1 - La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise
CUISINE: Czech
The Czech menu is a chef personal interpretation of the refined culinary school of Marie B. Svobodova from the late 19th century.
A fine dining experience in Prague with an impeccable service.
It is not a every day dinner place but my Czech colleagues love it, so I will definetly believe them!
2 - The Alcron
CUISINE: Seafood
Located in the Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, the Alcron restaurant is currently one of the best seafood restaurant in Prague. Its sophisticated 1920s atmosphere, its intimate space made of small tables, plush chairs and wall art from 1920s can host maximum 24 guests at one time.
I recommend you an advance reservation to enjoy its exquisite cuisine.
Watch out we have one of the best and talented chef in the Czech republic: Mr Roman Paulus
I simply love the interiors and the ambience, the food is stunning, too. Recommended for a special occasion.
3 - Cotto Crudo
CUSINE: Italian / Mediterranean
Executive Chef Andrea Accordi raised this restaurant to be the only one rated with a Michelin star in Prague and from 2006 for four years in a row.
Enjoy the summer terrace on the river side and the finest Italian dishes, reinventing the classics and Mediterranean specialties. Fancy some Bohemian specialties, this is still the good place to be.Enjoy its casual but elegant atmosphere in the wonderful set of Four Seasons Hotel.
Italian food lovers, here is your place (and mine!)
4 - SaSazu
CUISINE: Asian food
Located a little bit further from the city centre, but still easy reachable by public transportation or taxi, SaSazu is the perfect place for an experience out of the Czech and European cuisine border.
The Ched Shahaf Shabtay combines tastes, colours, sounds, passion and design to create an unforgettable experience.
SaSazu restaurant is based on the five elements and techniques of Asian cooking, that the Chef acquired during his year of experience all around Asia
I truly recommended to have an upgrade experience of tastes in a very suggestive atmosphere. We love it.
5 - Lehka hlava (Clear Head)
CUISINE: Vegetarian
Open since October 2005, it is one of the best vegetarian restaurant in Prague (in our opinion is the no.1).
Very popular is the room with sky and stars - see picture below. Menu is generous and portions, too.
For an alternative to Czech food, this is a good choice without renouncing to taste and atmosphere.
Do not miss the dessert..it is a suggestion! Our favourite one? Chocolate cookies with anise served with vanilla ice.
Waiting for feedback from your culinary experiences in Prague. Anyone has been to any of them and want to share their experience with us?
We are curious to know your tastes and we are very welcome to add some new interesting places to our list and to suggest to our future guests coming to Prague.
